Today is the start of construction of the new University Hospital in Sweden, New Karolinska Solna. The first-sod ceremony held by H.K.H.Crown Princess Victoria at 14:30 of the Karolinska hospital in Solna Park.

 Participates at the ceremony will, among other financial County Council Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd, Skanska's President and CEO Johan Karlström, President of Karolinska Institutet Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson and Director of the New Karolinska University Hospital-management Lennart Persson.
New Karolinska Solna is a totally new and top modern university with the mission of highly specialized and specialized medical care, research and training of large scale and high quality. The new university hospital is created to meet future demands for healthcare - with effective care flows, patient-focused organization, and higher patient with single rooms for inpatients.
