Welcome to 7th Workshop on Peritoneal Surface Malignancy – the venture of 2010s scientific meeting! It is with a great pleasure to personally invite you and welcome you to join the scientific meeting of 7th Workshop on Peritoneal Surface Malignancy in Uppsala, Sweden.
In 1998, the first Workshop on Peritoneal Surface Malignancy was held in Basingstoke, UK with about 25 delegates. At the 6th meeting in Lyon in 2008, the numbers of participants were more than 400.
The programme for this meeting is carefully balanced to cover the wide range of topics on peritoneal carcinomatosis, and will be highlighted with “Keynote” lectures delivered by recognised experts. A special attention will be assign to ovarian cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis. Free paper presentation will be integrated with the workshop and ongoing trials and their current progress will be discussed.
Uppsala, which is the hometown of the great scientists like Linneaus, Celsius and Ångström has one of the oldest universities in northern part of Europe and the town offers many historical attractions. It is located 40-min drive from Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden, and Stockholm International airport, Arlanda, is located in-between the two cities.
