Uppsala Berzelii Technology Center for Neurodiagnostics

A neuro-related disease accurately diagnosed at an early stage and followed by a prescribed therapy based on individual response so that the patient can continue living with maintained quality of life. That’s the vision of the Uppsala Berzelii Technology Center for Neurodiagnostics, a joint effort to provide a deeper understanding of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer, Parkinson and ALS. Partners come from three faculties at Uppsala University, several commercial companies and Uppsala University Hospital.
The Center’s partners represent a broad set of competences spanning sample-gathering to analysis methods and drug discovery. It’s mission is to conduct first-class research in the field of neuro-related diseases, to bring novel scientific findings faster into the healthcare system, and to allow industry to develop products of improved diagnostic and therapeutic value. This will be accomplished by uniting patient care with basic and clinical research plus biotechnology industry expertise.

The collaborating companies are AstraZeneca, GE Healthcare, Olink Biosciences and Gyros.
