Athera Biotechnologies develops novel products for risk assessment and treatment
of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The company was founded to exploit findings on
the immunological components in atherosclerosis, the inflammatory process
leading to cardiovascular disease based on antibodies against phosphonyl choline
(PC). The pipeline consists of risk markers and drug candidates. Athera
Biotechnologies was founded in 2002 and is privately owned.
